Bannerghatta Biological Park is a wildlife reserve in the Bannerghatta National Park located about 22 kilometers south of Bengaluru. Bannerghetta National Park was founded in 1970 and was declared a national park in 1974. It occupies an area of about 260 square kilometers. In 2002, a part of the national park was made a wildlife reserve and named Bannerghatta Biological Park. Bannerghatta Biological Park occupies an area of about 7.32 square kilometers and is home to lions, tigers, elephants, bears, blackbucks and other species.

Bannerghatta Biological Park is a popular tourist sport in the outskirts of Bengaluru. The park has a zoo, a butterfly park and a safari park. The safari park has different areas for herbivorous animals, bears, lions and tigers. The safari comprises of trip to these areas in a secure vehicle. The safari route is such that one can see the animals from a close range in their natural habitat. The safari is a great experience and is hugely popular.
